Job Description

We are primarily looking for experienced industry professionals, with an interest in sustainability, regenerative agriculture, carbon sequestration / emissions, and ultimately improvement of farmer livelihoods.

This position is remote with a home base in Europe, and will be on a contractual basis.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead the charge into new market segments, with a particular focus on one or more of palm oil, rubber or cocoa.

Servicing clients, including generating insights on sustainability topics, building and editing reports, and managing client relationships.

Manage and work with global colleagues on special projects on a wide range of sustainability topics, such as greenhouse gas emissions, deforestation, farmer cost of production, and school attendance.

Participate in discussions and working groups with clients on various sustainability topics, such as living income, regenerative agriculture, carbon footprint, and impact

Qualifications

5+ years’ relevant work in one or more of the target sectors.

Experience in commodity trading, consulting, business, finance, quantitative research, data analysis, international development, or sustainable agriculture.

Bachelor’s degree and excellent academic record, related to development studies, economics, business, statistics, or other relevant discipline.

Strong analytical competencies, with experience in navigating through large datasets to derive relevant insights with the use of data exploration or analysis techniques.

Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Docs applications, familiarity with quantitative data collection software/platforms; knowledge of Python or other programming languages beneficial, but not required. Proficiency with Hubspot would be a bonus.

Fluency in English (required); Working proficiency in other foreign languages beneficial, but not required.
