Job Description:
We are seeking a Social Media & Marketing Assistant to enhance our online presence and engage with our audience. This role involves creating branded content, managing social media accounts, updating the online store, and supporting communication efforts.
Responsibilities:
• Create branded posts, reels, and stories in Canva.
• Repurpose content across Instagram, Pinterest, and LinkedIn.
• Write captions and scripts aligned with the brand voice.
• Build and manage a weekly content calendar.
• Research and use effective hashtags/keywords.
• Engage with followers through comments, DMs, and community outreach.
• Track gardening and sustainability trends for timely content.
• Provide weekly/monthly analytics reports on growth and engagement.
• Update product/class/event listings on Looka & Shopify.
• Support with SEO basics (keywords, alt text, meta descriptions).
• Draft and send email newsletters using Mailchimp/Shopify.
• Manage client reviews/testimonial requests.
• Assist with outreach to potential clients in real estate/property management.
• Organize brand assets and client files.
• Assist with client proposals and documentation in brand style.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
• Proficiency in Canva and social media platforms (Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn).
• Basic understanding of SEO and content marketing.
• Experience with Mailchimp or similar email marketing tools.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with paid ads on social media platforms.
• Knowledge of affiliate partnerships in garden products.
• Experience in creating digital products (e.g., downloadable guides).
Personality:
• Strong eye for branding and design consistency.
• Self-starter who is comfortable with feedback.
• Passionate about gardens, sustainability, or creative design.
Software & Tools:
• Canva.
• Social Media Scheduling Tools (Later, Planoly, etc.).
• Looka & Shopify.
• Mailchimp.
English Level:
C1, C2, Native.
Schedule:
Part time 9 – 5 PST (Very Flexible).
