Job Description:
Our Client is seeking a Local SEO Specialist to strengthen their digital presence across key counties in downstate New York. This part-time role focuses on improving local search rankings, optimizing Google Business Profile visibility, and creating targeted content to attract their core audience.
Responsibilities:
• Improve and manage local search visibility across 3–4 targeted counties in New York.
• Optimize Google Business Profile, including posting updates and ensuring accurate metadata.
• Conduct keyword research focused on elder care, Medicaid planning, home care solutions, and related local search terms.
• Create geo-targeted blog content using relevant keywords tied to specific service areas.
• Manage and upload photos and media to enhance local ranking signals.
• Collaborate on social media presence by publishing simple, consistent posts on Facebook and Instagram.
• Monitor ranking progress, identify performance gaps, and implement adjustments as needed.
• Provide clear explanations of SEO strategy and progress in easy-to-understand terms.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
• Previous experience in Local SEO, including ranking businesses on Google Business Profile.
• Proven ability to conduct geo-specific keyword research and produce optimized content.
• Strong understanding of local ranking factors: keywords, metadata, reviews, images, and location-specific content.
• Solid written English skills sufficient for producing SEO-optimized blog posts and descriptions.
• Ability to communicate SEO concepts clearly and simply.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience working with service-based or geographically targeted businesses.
• Ability to assist with light social media support (basic posting and account maintenance).
• Familiarity with elder care, home care, or Medicaid-related services (a plus but not required).
• Knowledge of PPC concepts is a plus, though this role focuses primarily on Local SEO.

• Proactive, able to identify opportunities for improved visibility.
• Clear communicator capable of breaking down complex topics into simple explanations.
• Highly organized and comfortable working independently with flexible hours.
