About the role:
As an Hourly WP Dev Contractor at Mozaiq, your role will be focused and impactful. You will be responsible for implementing high-quality web solutions, with a specialization in developing the frontend using Next.js and managing the backend through WordPress. Your work will be pivotal in effectively communicating our clients’ brands and meeting their business objectives. You will be an integral part of our international team, working closely with our designers, illustrators, and SEO specialists to bring visually stunning and highly functional web projects to life.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of professional experience in Web Development
  • Strong proficiency with the WordPress CMS
  • Knowledge of WordPress plugins such as Elementor Website Builder and Advanced Custom Fields
  • Understanding of WordPress development concepts: Theme structure, Gutenberg Blocks, Custom Post Types, Hooks, and Plugins
  • Solid understanding of Git, SASS, and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with the principles of Responsive Web Design (RWD)
  • Experience in translating Figma designs into functional web pages
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken, as all internal communications are conducted in English
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a global team
  • Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices to ensure all web development complies with search engine optimization standards
  • Experience with REST API integrations and understanding how to handle data securely in WordPress
  • Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for WordPress sites to improve speed and user experience
