About the Client
The client operates a construction and renovation business in Melbourne and is beginning targeted marketing activities for the upcoming year. They are a solo operator looking to grow brand visibility, manage ads, and streamline marketing-related admin. The VA will act as the primary marketing and social media support, handling content creation, posting, reporting, and basic ad tracking.
Role Summary
We are seeking a creative, reliable Social Media & Marketing Virtual Assistant to support the client with:
- Daily/weekly social media tasks
- Light content creation
- Drafting posts
- Creating simple video edits for reels
- Tracking and reporting on Meta and Google Ads (if applicable)
- General marketing administration
This role is ideal for someone who is strong in social media execution, comfortable with Meta tools, and able to support basic ad reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Social Media Management
- Create and draft posts for Facebook and Instagram
- Schedule content across relevant platforms
- Create reels and short-form videos using basic editing tools
- Maintain brand consistency across visuals and messaging
- Assist with community engagement (likes, comments, inquiries) as needed
- Marketing & Ads Support
- Prepare weekly or monthly performance reports for social media
- Track basic analytics from Meta Business Suite (FB & IG)
- Support with Google Ads reporting (if campaigns are active)
- Assist with gathering insights and providing summaries for the client
- Admin & General Support
- Organize marketing files, assets, and campaign materials
- Maintain internal content calendars and tracking sheets
- Provide day-to-day administrative support related to marketing tasks
Tools & Platforms
- Candidates should be familiar with or able to quickly learn:
- Must-Have:
- Meta Business Suite (Facebook & Instagram)
- Basic video editing tools (CapCut, Canva, InShot, etc.)
- Instagram Reels editing & creation
- Nice-to-Haves:
- Google Ads
- Google Analytics
- Experience creating reports or dashboards
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Have 2+ years experience in social media, content creation, or marketing support
- Can draft clean, professional posts with minimal guidance
- Have experience creating short-form videos and reels
- Are comfortable navigating analytics dashboards
- Are detail-oriented, organized, and consistent
- Have strong communication skills
- Can reliably work during Melbourne business hours

- Previous experience supporting small businesses or trades
