About the Role

Second Front Systems (2F) is seeking a skilled and motivated Enterprise Support Engineer to join our Customer Support team. In this customer-facing role, you’ll spearhead our technical efforts to support customers deployed on our DevSecOps platform, Game Warden.

What You’ll Do

As an Enterprise Support Engineer at Second Front Systems, you will architect, improve, and implement customer applications, deploy them, and support them in our cloud-native platform. Specific responsibilities include:

  • Build, test, validate, and operate customer applications on Game Warden in accordance with Department of Defense and Intelligence Community security and compliance standards.
  • Research, experiment, and develop solutions to improve customer deployment outcomes.
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, operations, and security teams to establish best practices for secure software delivery.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents across complex cloud and hybrid infrastructures.
  • Develop and document new solutions while working independently in a fast-paced agile environment.
  • Implement, modify, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
  • Contribute to a team culture of innovation, diversity, and excellence.

Skills You’ll Bring to Our Team

  • Architect-level experience designing, implementing, and operating cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Expertise with at least one of: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Strong experience with containerization, Kubernetes, and AWS EKS.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and managing applications with Helm.
  • Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools.
  • Experience monitoring and resolving incidents in complex enterprise environments.
  • Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST, ISO 27001, SOC2, etc.).
  • Strong coding skills in one or more of: Go, Python, Bash.
  • Proficiency in image/container hardening and CVE remediation.
  • Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with GitLab and Google Workspaces.
  • Expertise with DevSecOps principles: security automation, continuous security, and cross-functional collaboration.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of relevant experience.
  • Certified AWS Solutions Architect.
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
  • Experience as a Software Engineer or DevSecOps Engineer.
  • DoD 8570 compliance.
  • Experience working in a startup environment.
  • Knowledge of zero-trust architectures, threat modeling, and secure coding practices.
  • Ability to operate in high-pressure enterprise support environments.
  • Strong interest in matters of national security.
  • Compassionate and direct feedback style, team-oriented, and growth-oriented mindset.

Bonus:

  • Deep understanding of cloud networking.
  • Experience with multiple cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Active security clearance or ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.

The expected base salary range for this role is $155,000 – $163,000. Final compensation will be based on factors such as experience, skills, level, and geographic location. This role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and equity grants as part of the total compensation package.
