This is a remote position.
An international events management firm is seeking an experienced, independent Bookkeeper to provide part-time financial support on a freelance basis. This is a 15 to 20-hour-per-week remote role, requiring a professional with proven experience supporting UK-based businesses. The successful candidate will manage daily financial transactions, maintain ledger accuracy, and ensure all records are prepared for reporting. This position is ideal for an organised, self-sufficient professional who is highly proficient in Xero and capable of operating independently to maintain the firm’s financial health.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks using Xero.
- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and petty cash transactions.
- Process supplier invoices, ensure accurate coding, and manage payment runs.
- Handle sales invoicing and monitor outstanding receivables.

- Proven experience in a bookkeeping role, specifically for a UK-based business.
- Expert-level proficiency in Xero is essential.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail and high levels of numerical accuracy.
- Reliable, professional, and capable of managing own time to meet weekly deadlines.
- Fully operational home office
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma: Bookkeeping
- Experience within the events, hospitality, or creative agency sectors (not essential).
