Your role
- Make an impact: As a key member of a skilled development team, you will work closely with Software Engineers, QA Engineers, Product Managers, and our Data team
- As a creative problem solver, you will develop effective and lasting solutions to enhance our DevOps environment
- You will design CI/CD processes that allow us to deploy code swiftly and reliably, ensuring our services remain consistently available to users
- You will be responsible for all automation processes on the platform and the configuration of the testing setup
- Leveraging your expertise, you will help transition our platform from Heroku to a different provider to maximise performance and scalability
- You will ensure the availability, stability, performance, and security of our infrastructure and production environments by proactively identifying and resolving potential issues
- While your primary focus is on DevOps tasks, you will also assist your Software Engineering colleagues with product development as needed
Our stack
- Devops: AWS, Heroku, Docker (container environment), CircleCI
- ELK (elastic search and kibana)
- Bash (Linux Shell, part of the “toolbox” for DevOps Engineers)
- Data (our data team is using): Python, Airflow (orchestration of the services), AWS, MS (PowerBI), Postgres DB (also used by engineers)
- Github (Pipelines, Actions)
- Ruby with Ruby on Rails (for Backend tasks)
- Testing/QA: Capybara and Cypress
Your profile
- Several years of experience in DevOps, Platform, and/or Site Reliability engineering
- Experienced with CI/CD, container-based testing setups, application scalability, and performance optimization with Heroku, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes and /or Terraform.
- Deep understanding and practical experience with Bash, Python, and ideally, CircleCI, RabbitMQ, and AMQP.
- Prior hands-on experience in software development using Ruby on Rails is essential
- Advocate of best practices and knowledge-sharing
- You’re located in a timezone of +/- 4 hours CET
- Fluent in English and very good communication skills
